Alexandra Boktor was born when the founder, Alexandra, noted that luxury formal wear, specifically formal wear targeted toward brides and bridesmaids, was only available to certain individuals. Specifically, women with bodies that fit the stereotypical ‘standard sizes’. Trying on such luxury wear was almost impossible for the ‘curvy woman’, as in-store stock was always very limited.  It seemed if you were more shapely, your options were limited to fast fashion online brands; where quality, sustainability and ethics were not always prioritised.
